Week with new meds….

🧠 Navigating Medication Changes: My Journey with ADHD, Sleep, and Depression Treatment

Last week, I started a new ADHD medication and switched my sleep meds, while keeping my depression treatment steady. The transition hasn’t been easy—but it’s been eye-opening.

The ADHD meds hit hard at first. I felt jittery, restless, and unsure whether to move or lie down. Thankfully, I had friends who understood what I was going through. Their patience and support helped me push through those uneasy days.

Sleep was another challenge. I’d been on Xanax, but a Genesight test revealed my body doesn’t process it properly—explaining the groggy mornings. Now I’m on Lunesta, and it’s a game-changer. I wake up clear-headed, and once the ADHD meds kick in, I’m ready to start the day.

For depression, I switched from Celexa to Luvox back in July. Within days, I noticed a real improvement in my mood and overall outlook.

Of course, my body’s still adjusting—especially after last week’s Exomind treatments. Today feels “blah,” and I’m learning to honor that. Some days are slower, and that’s okay. I’ve been more active lately, so it makes sense that my body’s asking for rest.

💡 What I’ve Learned

• Medication changes are tough—physically and emotionally.

• Support systems matter. Surround yourself with people who get it.

• Genetic testing like Genesight can offer clarity when meds aren’t working.

• Off days aren’t setbacks. They’re signals. Listen to your body.

• Grace is essential. Healing isn’t linear.

If you’re going through something similar, know this: you’re not alone, and you’re not failing. You’re adjusting, learning, and growing. Give yourself credit—and space—to do just that.
